India's crude steel output grows in May

According to statistics released by the World Steel Association (worldsteel), India's crude steel output amounted to 9.2 million tons in May this year, growing by nearly 47% compared to the same month a year ago.

There were 64 countries that reported their May output of crude steel to the worldsteel, totaling 17.44 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 16.5%.

Among them, China still ranked first, with a total output of 9.95 million tons, hiking by 6.6% year on year.
