Matalco’s aluminum plant in Wisconsin Rapids put into operation

An aluminum plant of Matalco Inc. in Wisconsin Rapids was put into operation on November 19, 2020. The plant has an annual production capacity of aluminum. As of late December, the plant has shipped out more than 1,500 tons of products.

In January 2019, Matalco announced an US$80 million investment in the Rapids East Commerce Center, for a project of a 110,000-square-foot manufacturing plant, which was expected to bring 80 jobs.
