Last week, Norsk Hydro, one of the largest aluminum companies in the world, signed a new power purchase agreement (PPA) with Hafslund Eco, a renewable power provider.

This PPA will be valid for six years. According to the PPA, Hafslund Eco was expected to provide Hydro with 1,300 GWh. Previously, Norsk Hydro and Hafslund Eco already had several agreements totaling 4 TWh through the end of the decade.

This new agreement will make the two firms be closer to each other. However, they didn't disclose the financial terms of the agreement publicly.
