Novelis Inc., a Georgia-based industrial aluminum company, launched its new roll-forming development line, which will meet the automotive industry’s demand for high-strength aluminum auto parts.

The new line is located in Novelis’ Automotive Customer Solution Center in Novi, Michigan. It will allow Novelis to conduct full-scope, year-round research, and development on roll forming in-house.

The automotive industry is moving toward electrification, so faster production of lighter, greener parts will be needed. It is a key step to accelerate technological development for Novelis to introduce its own roll-forming development line. The automotive industry takes electrification and sustainability as a priority, as well as aluminum’s characteristics, such as higher safety and lower risk of corrosion.
