The international nickel prices are still fluctuating between US$19,000 and US$20,000/ton. Taiwan’s main upstream suppliers, such as Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco) and Tang Eng Iron Works Co., Ltd., raised their prices for November.

Under the rising prices and stable supply, the upstream suppliers and downstream buyers were expected to have higher revenue and profit in the fourth quarter.

Despite slightly fluctuated nickel prices this week, the unstable supply and high prices of other raw materials used in stainless steel production have continued to push up stainless steel prices.
