Rusal's Q2 aluminum production reduces

Rusal's second-quarter aluminum production decreased by 1.4% from the first quarter,. The aluminum sales went up by 6.8% compared to the previous quarter, but the figure was down by 9.8% compared to the same period of last year.

In the first half of this year, Rusal's aluminum sales went down by 4.4% compared to the same period of time last year.

The firm's value-added aluminum product sales decreased by 14% in the second quarter compared to the first quarter due to the virus.

Separately, China produced 2.8% more aluminum in the first half of this year. Manufacturing conditions continued to pick up as a whole. A potential second wave of COVID-19 might bring uncertainties for the aluminum market.
