According to Hulamin, one of the largest aluminum exporters, its aluminum extrusion business in Olifantsfontein, Midrand has been acquired by Alfeco Group, an integrated metals company in South Africa.

The extrusion division has been renamed Veer Aluminium, with an annual production capacity of 20,000 tons.

Due to recycled aluminum’s cost competitiveness, wide applications, environmental benefits, and low capital intensity, Veer expected that the recycled aluminum industry in South Africa will grow significantly.
