Hebei Province, which produces most steel in China, was proud to realize an output of almost 249 million tons last year. However, this year under the stress of carbon emission control as well as atmosphere environment protection, Hebei is the only province that realized a decrease in steel output during the first half of 2021.

Actually, this year from March, Tangshan city, as the most famous steel supplier in China, has already started to control and cut the output of local steel enterprises.

Hebei planned to cut 21.71 million tons of crude steel production totally in 2021, down by 8.8% from 2020.
