Taiwan’s 300 series cold-rolled stainless steel coil import price hiked for 3 consecutive months

According to statistics, Taiwan’s 300 series cold-rolled stainless steel coil imports totaled around 1,200 tons in January this year, falling by 9.8% compared to the previous month, hitting the second-lowest since last year.

However, the exports of 300 series cold-rolled stainless steel coil rebounded by 22.7% month on month to 30,330 tons.

In terms of import and export average prices, the import average price of 300 series cold-rolled stainless steel coil reached a new high for three consecutive months in January, up by more than NT$22,000/ton. However, the export average price dropped by US$2,450/ton month on month, hitting a new single-month low.

In 2022, Taiwan’s 300 series cold-rolled stainless steel coil imports amounted to approximately 46,900 tons, and the exports reached 450,000 tons.
