Taiwan's stainless steel billet imports rise greatly in 2021

In 2021, Taiwan's stainless steel billet imports totaled around 209,000 tons, increasing by 88.3% compared with 2020. Meanwhile, the import price went back to a higher level.
In 2020, Taiwan imported around 110,900 tons of stainless steel billet, a 111.6% growth compared with 2019.
The recent LME nickel price continues going up, so it is possible that the import price of stainless steel billets will be higher in the future.
