Taiwan’s stainless steel finished wire import prices surge in Sep

According to statistics, the import volume of Taiwan’s finished wire had a month-on-month decrease of 18.2% in September, reaching 426 tons, which was the lowest monthly volume since last year. However, the import price surged to the above NT$13,000 level, which has hiked for two consecutive months.

Meanwhile, the export volume had a month-on-month increase of 6.4% in September, which has risen for three consecutive months, hitting a new high this year. However, the export prices dropped to a new low this year.

In the first three quarters of this year, Taiwan totally imported around 4,600 tons and exported roughly 12,000 tons of stainless steel finished wire.
