Tang Eng Taiwan’s stainless steel producer hike the price for Aug

According to the price announcement, the domestic price of 304 cold-rolled and hot-rolled stainless steel was up by NT$7,500/ton, the same as the price increase of Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco), another main stainless steel producer in Taiwan. The surcharge of 316L was kept unchanged, and the prices of 200 series and 430 weren’t announced this time.

Tang Eng Iron Works Co., Ltd., one of the main stainless steel manufacturers in Taiwan, announced to hike its new stainless steel prices for August today (July 30).

In terms of export, the base price of 304 cold-rolled and hot-rolled stainless steel was raised by US$270-350/ton, depending on different areas.

After Yusco and Tang Eng announced their price hikes for August, it was expected that the market price of stainless steel will rise further.
