Tata Steel's consolidated net profit soars in Q2

India's Tata Steel reported that its consolidated net profit reached Rs 11,918.11 crore in the second quarter of the fiscal year 2021-2022, soaring by 661.3% compared to the same period a year ago, slightly higher than analysts’ expectations.

During the same period, Tata Steel's consolidated revenue from operations amounted to Rs 60,282.8 crore, and the consolidated operating profit per ton surged by 246% year on year to Rs 24,112, due to a hike in prices.
