According to statistics from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), in the week ended June 26, the production of US’ crude steel totaled around 1.84 million short tons, falling by 0.2% from the same period a week ago while hiking by 44.3% compared to the same period a year earlier. The capacity utilization rate was 82.7%, decreasing by 0.2% week on week but going up by 25.9% year on year.
As of the week ended June 26, the production of US’ crude steel has amounted to around 45.05 million short tons this year, a year-on-year increase of 15.2%. The capacity utilization rate was 78.8%, a year-on-year hike of 11%.
