US makes final ruling of AD & CVD on common alloy aluminum sheets from 18 countries

On March 2, 2021, the US Department of Commerce (USDOC) made the affirmative final ruling of anti-dumping (AD) on common alloy aluminum sheet from Bahrain, Brazil, Croatia, Egypt, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Oman, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Taiwan, and Turkey, and it meanwhile made an affirmative final ruling of countervailing duty (CVD) on the same products from Bahrain, India, and Turkey.
Besides, the negative rulings of AD investigation on Greece and South Korea and CVD on Brazil were also made at the same time.
Among them, the dumping rate for Taiwan exporters and producers was set at 17.50%, lower than the 18.02% primarily set last October. Germany’s Hydro Aluminium Rolled Products GmbH was assigned the highest dumping rate of 242.80%.
In terms of Taiwan’s main competitors of aluminum sheet, India received 47.92%, Indonesia was assigned 32.12%, South Korea will be subject to 5.04%, South Africa faced 8.85%, and Bahrain was 4.83%.
The US International Trade Commission (USITC) scheduled to make a final AD and CVD determination of this case on April 15, 2021.
