Vietnam's steel output & sales fall in Apr

According to the Vietnam Steel Association (VSA), in April, Vietnam's steel production totaled 2.17 million tons, down by 9.66% month on month and decreasing by 26.3% year on year, while sales of steel products fell by 8.32% month on month and by 15.1% year on year to 2.03 million tons.

In the first four months of this year, Vietnam's steel production went down by 22.4% from the corresponding period of last year to 8.86 million tons, and steel sales fell by 23.1% year on year to 8.1 million tons.

In March, Vietnam's imports of finished steel products increased by 55.26% from the previous month and by 18.52% year on year to 1.3 million tons, while exports of finished steel products from Vietnam totaled 874,000 tons, up by 9.75% month on month and down by 8.6% year on year.
