Walsin Lihwa, a stainless steel wire rod and cable manufacturer in Taiwan, announced its new price for August this morning. According to the price announcement, the price of 400 series products was kept flat, 300 series were hiked by NT$2,000/ton, and the surcharge of 316 products was raised by NT$2,000/ton.

Walsin Lihwa said that the New Taiwan dollar depreciated and prices of main raw materials for steelmaking, such as stainless steel scrap and ferromolybdenum, continued to rise. Therefore, the company appropriately adjusted its stainless steel wire rod prices for August in order to reflect production costs and maintain the competitiveness of downstream customers.
