Yieh Hsing Enterprise Co., Ltd., one of the major wire rod manufacturers in Taiwan, raised its prices of carbon steel wire rods by NT$500/ton for March. The price of stainless steel wire rods was maintained and that of 316 products would take bargaining ways.

Yieh Hsing said the increase in carbon steel wire rod prices was to reflect the rising prices from upstream blast furnace steel mills due to higher raw material prices. As for stainless steel prices, in consideration of slowing inflation and the overall market condition, the 304 series price was kept flat for March while the 316 price would be negotiated individually due to the high molybdenum price.
