Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco), a leading stainless steel mill in Taiwan, announced its new prices for July.

For domestic sales, the price of 304 and 430 stainless steel products was kept unchanged, and the surcharge of 316L products was hiked by NT$1,500/ton.
In terms of export prices, the price of 304 and 430 was both kept flat, and the surcharge of 316L was raised by US$50/ton.

Yusco said that despite the drop in certain raw materials prices, the decrease in major raw materials is limited, coupled with New Taiwan dollar depreciation, steel mills’ overall production costs are comparable to the previous period.

Besides, the export volume in May hit a new high this year, and the demand from the end market is gradually stabilizing, both of which support the market demand and prices.
