China’s alumina production grows in Aug

According to statistics released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) of China, China's alumina output was around 7.18 million tons in August this year, a year-on-year increase of 10.1%.

In the first eight months of this year, China’s alumina output amounted to proximately 54.44 million tons, a year-on-year growth of 4%.

In August, the imports of alumina totaled 157,000 tons, dropping by 0.73% month on month and by 60.2% year on year. Among them, Australia was the largest supplier, with a supply of 93,000 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 1.3% and a year-on-year drop of 71.8%.
