Constellium’s Alabama aluminum plant ends strike

It was reported that the United Steelworkers (USW) and French-based Constellium have reached a new agreement. The union members have agreed to the new five-year contract and ended the strike at the aluminum plant in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Workers involved in the strike returned to work on January 12, 2021.

On December 15, 2020, over 400 workers at the Muscle Shoals aluminum plant were on strike due to objections to unfair labor practices and healthcare issues.
