European Aluminum and Metal Packaging Europe plans to achieve 100% beverage can recycling by 2030

It was reported that European Aluminum and Metal Packaging Europe are developing a joint roadmap for the aim to achieve 100% beverage can recycling by 2030.
According to European Aluminum and Metal Packaging Europe, the recycling rate of aluminum beverage cans in Europe reached a record high at 76.1% in 2018, while a higher target by 2025 and 2030 has been taken with a new calculation method.
Kestutis Sadauskas, Director for Circular Economy and Green Growth at the European Commission, also expressed his welcome about the initiative.
