RUSAL starts mining bauxite in Komi Republic

It was reported that United Company RUSAL (RUSAL) started mining bauxite in a new mine at Vezhayu-Vorykvinskoye in the Komi Republic, with reserves of more than 14 million tons.

The new mine is pit No. 4, which will be the largest open-pit mine at the Sredne-Timansky bauxite mine.

The preparation of this mine lasted for three years. Besides, treatment facilities were installed and put into use, and necessary mining equipment was also prepared at the site.
