South Korea levies 3.66-11.37% AD duty on Vietnam’s cold-rolled stainless steel

The Korea Trade Commission (KTC) decided to impose a preliminary anti-dumping (AD) duty on cold-rolled stainless steel products from Vietnam at a duty rate ranging from 3.66% to 11.37%, depending on the company.

Specifically, the AD duty rate is 3.66% for YongJin Metal Technology (Vietnam), 11.37% for TVL Joint Stock Company and TVL Steel Production and Construction Joint Stock Company, and 4.79% for other suppliers.

The products involved are stainless steel cold-rolled products, in all steel grades, shapes, widths, lengths, and thicknesses, regardless of surface treatment and trimming, classified under HS codes 7219.31.1010, 7219.31.1090, 7219.31.9000, 7219.32.1010, 7219.32.1090, 7219.32.9000, 7219.33.1010, 7219.33.1090, 7219.33.9000, 7219.34.1010, 7219.34.1090, 7219.34.9000, 7219.35.1010, 7219.35.1090, 7219.35.9000, 7219.90.1010, 7219.90.1090, 7219.90.9000, 7220.20.1010, 7220.20.1090, 7220.20.9000, 7220.90.1010, 7220.90.1090, and 7220.90.9000.

The period of injury investigation is from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2023, and the dumping investigation period is from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023.

The AD investigation was launched in May this year based on the application filed by POSCO.
